Terms & Conditions

Emilia's Waxology In Gosberton

These Terms & Conditions apply to all appointments booked with Emilia’s Waxology. By making a booking, completing the consultation form and attending an appointment, you agree to these terms.

Please read them carefully before booking.

Bookings

All appointments must be booked through the Emilia’s Waxology online booking system unless otherwise agreed.

Your appointment is only confirmed once you have completed the booking process and received your booking confirmation email.

It is your responsibility to make sure the treatment, date, time and contact details entered when booking are correct.

Appointments are reserved specifically for you and cannot always be filled at short notice.

No deposit or advance payment is normally taken when you book. A payment card is required through the online booking system to secure your appointment, but payment for your treatment is normally made on the day of your appointment.

Consultation Forms

A consultation form must be completed honestly and in full before treatment.

You may be asked questions relating to your health, medication, allergies, skin conditions or other circumstances that could affect whether a treatment can be carried out safely.

Please inform Emilia’s Waxology of any changes to your health, medication or circumstances before each appointment.

If required information is not provided, or the consultation form has not been completed, the appointment may not be able to go ahead.

Providing information on a consultation form does not guarantee that treatment can be carried out. Emilia’s Waxology reserves the right to adapt, postpone or refuse a treatment where there is a concern about safety or suitability.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

I understand that sometimes plans change. However, as a small one-to-one business, late cancellations leave an appointment space that is often impossible to refill.

If you need to cancel or reschedule:

* More than 48 hours before your appointment – no cancellation charge.

* Between 24 and 48 hours before your appointment – up to 50% of the booked treatment price may be charged.

* Less than 24 hours before your appointment – up to 100% of the booked treatment price may be charged.

* Failure to attend without notice – up to 100% of the booked treatment price may be charged.

Any cancellation charge will reflect the loss resulting from the cancelled appointment, including whether the appointment could reasonably be filled by another client.

Where a cancellation charge is payable, you will normally be sent a payment link. The payment card provided when booking is not normally charged for cancellation fees.

Repeated cancellations or non-attendance may result in future bookings being declined or requiring payment in advance.

If Emilia’s Waxology needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to arrange an alternative appointment. I will normally contact you by text message and may follow up by telephone or email if I do not hear back from you. You will not be charged a cancellation fee where your appointment is cancelled or rescheduled by Emilia’s Waxology.

Illness, Periods, UTIs and Other Personal Circumstances

Cancellation charges may still apply where an appointment is cancelled because of illness, menstruation, a urinary tract infection, childcare difficulties, work commitments, transport problems or other personal circumstances.

For intimate waxing, having your period does not automatically prevent treatment. You may attend while menstruating provided you feel comfortable and use an appropriate internal menstrual product where necessary.

However, intimate waxing must not be carried out where the area being treated is affected by a condition that makes waxing unsuitable or unsafe, including active infection, significant irritation, broken skin or certain contagious skin conditions.

If you know that your treatment cannot safely go ahead, please reschedule as early as possible.

Late Arrival

Please arrive at your booked appointment time.

If you arrive late, your treatment may need to be shortened so that the next client’s appointment is not affected.

Where there is not enough time remaining to safely or properly complete the treatment, the appointment may be refused and a cancellation charge of up to the full treatment price may apply.

Late arrival does not automatically entitle you to an extension of your appointment.

Intimate Waxing

Emilia’s Waxology provides professional female-focused intimate waxing in a private one-to-one environment.

Appropriate positioning may be required during the treatment so that the area can be waxed safely and effectively. You will always be told what is needed and can ask to stop the treatment at any time.

Treatment will not be carried out where Emilia considers the skin or area unsuitable to wax safely.

Please disclose any relevant skin conditions, infections, medication or treatment that could affect the skin.

A client may be asked to seek medical advice before treatment where appropriate.

Hair Length

For waxing to be effective, the hair must be long enough for the wax to grip.

If the hair is too short because it has recently been shaved, trimmed or removed, it may not be possible to achieve the expected result.

The appointment may still be chargeable where insufficient hair length means the booked treatment cannot be completed.

Treatment Results

Every person’s skin and hair responds differently to waxing and other treatments.

Although every reasonable effort is made to provide a high-quality treatment, Emilia’s Waxology cannot guarantee completely hair-free results, a particular regrowth period or that there will be no temporary skin reaction.

Temporary redness, sensitivity, follicle swelling or irritation can occur after waxing.

Aftercare instructions should be followed to help reduce the likelihood of irritation or other reactions.

Medication and Skin Treatments

Certain medication, skincare products and medical treatments can make the skin unsuitable for waxing.

You must disclose anything relevant on your consultation form and before treatment, including medication or treatment that may affect skin sensitivity, healing or integrity.

Do not deliberately withhold information that could affect the safety of your treatment.

Right to Refuse or Stop Treatment

Emilia’s Waxology reserves the right to refuse, adapt or stop a treatment where:

* it may be unsafe or unsuitable;

* there is broken, damaged, infected or severely irritated skin;

* required consultation information has not been supplied;

* the client appears unwell or unable to safely receive treatment;

* inappropriate, threatening, abusive, discriminatory or sexual behaviour occurs;

* the client’s behaviour makes it unreasonable or unsafe to continue; or

* professional boundaries are not respected.

Where treatment has already begun, charges may still apply for the appointment or treatment already provided where reasonable.

Client Behaviour and Professional Boundaries

Emilia’s Waxology is a professional treatment studio.

Sexual comments, sexualised behaviour, harassment, intimidation, aggression or inappropriate requests will not be tolerated.

Any such behaviour may result in the treatment ending immediately and the client being refused future appointments.

Where appropriate, serious incidents may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Minors

Some treatments may be provided to clients under the age of 18 at Emilia’s Waxology’s discretion and subject to the suitability of the treatment.

For clients under 16, a parent or guardian must be present and must complete and sign the relevant consultation form. Emilia’s Waxology may also require a parent or guardian to be present for clients aged 16 or 17 where appropriate.

Intimate waxing is normally only available to clients aged 18 or over. In exceptional circumstances, treatment for a client under 18 may be considered on an individual basis, subject to parental or guardian involvement and Emilia’s assessment of whether the treatment is appropriate.

Emilia’s Waxology reserves the right to decline any treatment for a client under 18 where it is considered unsuitable or inappropriate.

Payments

Treatment prices are those displayed by Emilia’s Waxology at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change from time to time.

Payment is due in accordance with the payment method offered at the time of booking or appointment.

Treatment payment is normally taken on the day of your appointment.

Any outstanding cancellation or treatment charge may need to be paid before another appointment can be booked.

Gift Vouchers and Offers

Where gift vouchers, promotions or special offers are made available, any additional conditions stated at the time of purchase or promotion will also apply.

Gift vouchers have no cash value and cannot normally be exchanged for cash.

Personal Belongings

Please take reasonable care of your personal belongings while attending the studio.

Emilia’s Waxology cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Allergic Reactions and Sensitivities

Please tell Emilia before treatment if you have known allergies, sensitivities or previous reactions to waxing or treatment products.

Products are used according to professional guidance; however, an unexpected reaction can occasionally occur.

If you experience a significant or unusual reaction following treatment, seek appropriate medical advice where necessary and contact Emilia’s Waxology to make her aware.

Privacy and Client Information

Personal information is collected where necessary to manage appointments, communicate with clients and provide treatments safely.

This can include health information supplied through consultation forms.

Health information is sensitive personal information and is handled with additional care.

Further information about how personal information is collected, used, shared, retained and protected can be found in the Emilia’s Waxology Privacy Policy

Photography and Social Media

Photographs or videos of a client or treatment area will not be used for marketing or social media without permission.

Where consent has been given, you may withdraw consent for future use by contacting Emilia’s Waxology.

Withdrawal of consent will not necessarily affect material that has already been lawfully published or used before consent was withdrawn.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your treatment, please contact Emilia’s Waxology as soon as reasonably possible so that the issue can be discussed.

Where possible, concerns should be raised promptly so that the circumstances can be properly assessed.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions removes or limits any rights you have under UK consumer law.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may occasionally be updated to reflect changes to services, booking procedures, business practices or legal requirements.

The version in force at the time of your booking will normally apply to that appointment.

By completing your booking, you confirm that:

  • you have provided accurate information

  • you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • you understand the cancellation and late-arrival policy

  • you agree to notify Emilia’s Waxology of relevant health or medication changes
